Risks of Serving

The Bible and history shows that there are always risk involved in serving the Lord. Serving in Japan is no different, because it has been prone to earthquakes and tsunamis. Since Japan depends heavily on nuclear power, risks of radiation leaks are inherent too. Since the March 11 earthquake, the radiation leak has been contained and the nuclear plant is presently being shut down. There is no immediate risk of radiation in Sendai and the area where the saints will serve, there is always some risk.Ultimately the saints must do their own research about the risks and then make a decision to serve or not through much prayer and fellowship with the Lord and their vital group members. A website with radiation information is provided here for your information.

Request for Japan Gospel Trip Volunteers

The brothers in Japan are inviting English-speaking saints to join a 10-person team that will participate in earthquake clean-up and preaching the gospel in northeast Japan, near the city of Sendai. The teams will join other Japanese volunteers to do cleanup work that is safe and suitable even for elementary school children. While working, there will be opportunities to share the gospel with other Japanese volunteers. Many of these volunteers are young people who are open to the gospel and understand English. They love to talk to Americans. After a day of work, there will be opportunities to visit local saints, attend home meetings, or visit any open new believers or friends in their homes. Please pray for these gospel trips that many Japanese would be saved and be added to the church.
